![]() I recommend using a controller and getting the hang of flicking a zombie with furniture. Comboing □□□□ □□□□□□□□□ □□□□□□ into your regular horde combat not only works very well, but looks sexy to boot. That is to say, I have ran through entire siege hordes swinging around an armchair to get my party to the exit door. Heavier furniture items can be used as either a mobile claymore swipe, or can be picked up and pushed into zombies to knock them all down, which very slowly reduces the object's durability compared to throwing it around. Speaking of □□□ □□□□□□□□□ □□□□□□□□□□, Furniture tossing is by far the greatest invention since throwing your fucking shield at a peasant in the middle ages. Throwing furniture behind you will also give you ample ammunition for □□□ □□ℝℕ□□□ℝ□ □□ℝ□□□ against zombies you encounter on your backtracking, and can give you the instant leg up on a surprise horde that's gathered behind you. Furniture will also home in on doors if you throw them at them, which can be perfectly used to wipe out a group of zombies coming through a door or to quickly barricade a door you've closed. This means running into a house and tossing an armchair in the way when you run into another room will effectively block every zombie from chasing you into the house. If you're no longer in sight or in the room, the zombie will no longer come after you. When a zombie attacks, its aggro is reset and it has to find aggro again. Furniture can't be moved through by you or zombies, and a zombie's first instinct when it runs into a breakable barrier is to attack it. It can fortify by creating barriers between you and your undead persuers. ![]() It can and will make the difference between life and death. In fact, I'm going to break down all the information I have about furniture in this game.įurniture is an asset - a resource in the game that can be used in three different ways: to fortify, attack and mark. A couch can absolutely block most hallways and is very durable. You deserve better <3Īlthough these are just off the top of my head, I hope this helps.Ībsolutely! Another I can think of is to use furniture as barricades very often. Weapons that can only hit one zombie at a time are for AI hands only. If you're about to lose your escape route, it's time to move. When you're dealing with a big horde or a siege, always have a choke point you're funneling them into, and an escape route when it gets too hairy. My Zerker ain't named Chairtoss for nothin'.ĬOOL IT. Push around entire hordes and clear pathways through walls of zombies. That paired with their vending machines make them the best first looting location you can hit up. Rest stops have a guaranteed Last Stand room, where some poor survivors fuckin croaked and dropped a bunch of stuff. ![]() Other than those dudes, I'll try to find an animal or a good rare character to chill in the backseat and help with crazy sieges and loot runs. My buddy is a Civilized Explorer, which gives me much better looting locations and starts him off with Level 4 MED and MCH with a top tier personality to boot. I stick with my meta of a Martial Artist Berzerker who starts with 5 STR and 7 FIT, which both cap at 7 and 8 respectively, making him an incredibly potent melee fighter. Having a party that eats 5 or 6 food per tick rather than a whopping 8 makes a world of a difference. Optimize your team! I've found that having four party members is too much of a drain on resources for the payout. Riled up Grocery stores have more loot than regular ones, and Arcades/Rest stops tend to have vending machines that'll net you a good amount of grub. ![]() Like in space what with gravity and stuff!įOOD FOOD #1: ALWAYS Prioritize getting food over everything else, try to have over 40 at any given time. It takes 5 'grunts' for a zed to bite you, and you can even slingshot yourself through a zombie's grasp if you angle it right. ![]() I've dumped a total of about 115~ hours into the game and am familiar with a vast majority of it and know a lot of tips, tricks and strategies I know'd help a lot of you dinks out there survive better! Here are a coupleĭon't be afraid to run into a zombie's grasp. ![]()
